Human rights arrests and abuses escalate

8 July 2019

Sky News’s John Sparks reports that Zimbabwe has changed for the worst since President Mnangagwa’s rise to power. They include Obert Masaraure, President of the Rural Teachers’ Union of Zimbabwe, a victim of the security forces crackdown in January 2019 and five community workers who were arrested and jailed for three weeks after attending a civil rights conference overseas.
